My Bitcoin story is different.
All things considered, my value system came from the Church as well as the streets because both were easily accessible to me. My father was a rolling stone, and my mother, whom I lived with for the majority of my life until adulthood, was a Christian missionary. I saw both worlds up close, and due to this, I developed shrewdness around how I move in the world and an empathic heart for people due to seeing the cause as well as the effects of decisions. Since I couldn’t make it to Heaven on your mother’s faith, I became a “real Christian” in 2012. I love Jesus, and He is my Lord. When I learned about Bitcoin in 2016, one of the first places I spoke to people about it was in various churches. Fast forward to “The Secrets of Satoshi” World Tour, I found myself in Atlanta, as mentioned in the US Tour recap, and I spoke to a young man by the name of Dr. Justin Lester. We spoke about tech, Bitcoin, and how he pastors a church in California called “Friendship Missionary Baptist Church”, which is a community of Christ-Led Liberators who Love Jesus, Heal People, Serve Vallejo, and Build Community. Along with being from Milwaukee, WI, like myself, we both love Christ and have a passion for community. After connecting in Atlanta, he reached out regarding doing a pre-recorded talk for his church, which I was happy to do.

Special thank you to Pastor / Dr. Justin Lester for the opportunity!
