I’ve always wanted to go on tour, ever since I was a kid. The idea of having something that the world needed to see and hitting the road or flying from city to city to be among the people has always appealed to me. Basically, I love being on tour. I am thrilled to share insights from the several cities I’ve toured. Along with the written recap, I have a video summary, which I have included here if you wish to watch:
Raleigh, NC
I went to a Bitcoin meetup in Raleigh, NC, where they discussed the technical aspects of Bitcoin. This is one of many that take place globally, and it’s truly important work. Without Bitcoin core developers and Bitcoin meetups like this, we couldn’t enjoy Bitcoin the way we do, so it was deeply important to me that the tour started at a meetup. Due to the rules in place, no pictures were permitted. In person only.

Atlanta, GA
The next tour stop was in Atlanta, GA, for the “Black Is Tech” conference. It took place on the same day as the Beyonce concert that literally shut the city down. I got an invitation to speak on a panel from Saint Rock Media’s CEO, Kalah Haley. Along with Kalah, I met Jasmine Tiara, founder of BoughtBlackCo and a well connected woman in Atlanta’s tech / entrepreneurial scene. We met at the Gathering Spot for hours to discuss our panel and how we could coordinate efforts to make everyone greater. The next day, we converged on the convention center where Black Is Tech 2023 was held and had a deeply impactful conversation in front of a diverse audience. The panel was recorded, and I look forward to sharing it with you soon! Lastly, we met with a group of movers and shakers in the city of Atlanta, and I spoke to them about the book.
Martha’s Vineyard, MA
An exclusive and expensive island known as Martha’s Vineyard was the next destination. I was invited to the first Blockchain Braintrust event, where I met people from Circle, eToro, CoinMetrics, a16z Crypto, DAOs, the US Government, and more! Being able to speak to people about the book and also join very deep conversations about what blockchain technologies, Bitcoin, and crypto in general mean for the world, starting in marginalized communities within America. Saying my time “on the Vineyard” was a memorable experience is an understatement.
Shout out to Mothore Foundry for the invite!
Milwaukee, WI
After the Vineyard, I went to the city known as Milwaukee, my hometown. The Milky Way Tech Hub sponsored an event where I could speak to a group of about 20 people about Bitcoin and how important it is. At the end of the talk, the Milky Way Tech Hub surprised the crowd and sponsored books for everyone! After this great event, I was invited to do a podcast interview that was conducted by the Running Rebels Community Organization. This podcast will be released soon, and I will be sure to share it so you can learn more about me, my journey, and the story behind the book.
Lastly, I did a private presentation for an investment club started by Melva Henderson, a prolific teacher, speaker, preacher, and author. The group received a private presentation on Bitcoin, and all wanted to purchase the book! Melva has a bookstore in Milwaukee where she acquired 10 signed copies of my book and expressed plans to carry the book in her bookstore once the 10 copies are gone. The books are almost gone. Most names and faces in the Zoom photo have been redacted.
Thank you to the Milky Way Tech Hub, the Running Rebels, and Henderson House Publishing and Bookstore!
